Updated my list to add WBWP as the replacement for "Valentine's Day" as the 10th best episode.

Because of the *Fan Base* MOST people will get annoyed if Spongebob falls in love, PROPERLY! That is why, I think, the romance was shown at the start *Tree at the Treedome* and since then, we've been shown the hints. *We interrupt this thread to bring you a rant from Angel624* Well, if the only reason Nick doesn't wanna make Spandy cannon is because they're scared they'll upset the fanbase, then they are cowards! Lots of tv shows -- kid's cartoons, at that! -- have romantic interests, and some of them even made the fanbases angry! In Lilo & Stitch: The Series, which was my big fandom when I was a young teen, they introduced a female Experiment named Angel. She became Stitch's love interest, and the fans who thought Stitch should've been paired with Lilo, a different cannon character, or their own fancharacter, were up in arms. Did the writers flinch after this and remove Angel from the series completely? Nope! In fact, they brought her back, had Stitch actually tell her he loved her, and even *gasp!* showed the fans that Lilo was okay with it! Now that took guts. And it isn't just that Nick doesn't like putting romance in their shows. If Cosmo and Wanda can have a kid, then SpongeBob can kiss Sandy! Jimmy Neutron and Cindy Vortex have had their share of romantic moments, so why can't our loveable sponge and squirrel? Heck even Barnyard had a moment where Otis and what's-her-name admitted to each other they liked each other! GAWD! Of course, there are several other examples that I've omitted, but I'm sure you get my point. So, Nickelodeon and the new writers, grow a backbone and have SpongeBob and Sandy get together! *End of rant. We know return you to your regularly scheduled thread.*

OMG, I saw that freakish Barnyard episode the other day. And I immediately thought of Spandy. I was like "Well, there's another show on Nick that allows cartoon romance." And the fanbase always finds a way to get upset!
In Avatar the Last Airbender, (one of my many obsessions...) the creators and writers weren't afraid to let Aang and Katara get together. Yes, the Zutarian fanbase was extremely angry, but the creators didn't care!
So I also suggest the writers get some backbone and get SpongeBob and Sandy together.
