You people are SO wrong!  Spongebob/Squid is a EPIC WIN.  You might think Squidward hates Spongebob. But that's a lie. Remember "The Night Shift?" As you recall: "No matter what I've said,Spongebob I've ALWAYS sorta of liked you..." My goodness you Spandy don't pay attention that much do you? And it's obvious Spongebob likes Squidward too. Ex: "20,000 patties under the sea," "Two Faces Of Squidward," "Dear Vikings," "Squid's Visit," "Boating Buddies." I honestly feel sorry for you,Spandy fans,you guys still Spandy's going to happen. Whoa, hold up there for a minute. The only reasons those episodes happened was because Stephen Hillenburg said the were ''somewhat asexual''. By that, he meant they skip around, giggle, and hold hands because he says he means it to be like little five year olds on the playground. So, SpongexSquid is really just meant to be a case where one little boy tries to pal around and hold hands with the other, and the other finds it crass and annoying. It's not real love, AT ALL. I also read, that in The Two Faces of Squidward, the real meaning of when SpongeBob said he loved Squidward, he meant like an older brother. That's what Hillenburg said. So don't get mad about it, just think about the backstory, and realize that they're not trying to make Spidward a canon couple.

This is sorta random, but...
I heard that the new writers spend more time working on making the character's faces look graphic and disgusting then they do working on the actual story line.
