For those silly little people who keep saying Twilight is the new Harry Potter, I have some reasons that might change your mind:

How They're Different:

1. Very few people have read Harry Potter and hated it. Many people who have read Twilight and hated it.

2. Twilight can only be enjoyed by teenagers. Harry Potter is for all ages, whether it's your father or your little seven year old brother.

3. The plots in Harry Potter are clever and well written and leave you on the edge of your seat at times. Twitlight (not a typo) is about Edward and Bella's relationship with random vampire scares thrown in randomly.

4. Harry Potter has hilarious moments, romantic moments, horrifying moments, tear jerking moments, and just about any other emotion that comes to mind. All the moments in Twilight are corny.

5. The Twilight movies are just as bad or good as the books. No book has a chance of living up to Harry Potter's movie legacy, except maybe Lord of the Rings.

6. The characters in Harry Potter are lovable and they grow on you. Characters in Twilight are annoying and make you want to rip your head off.

7. Characters in Harry Potter have flaws, are affected by hormones, and they make mistakes. The ones in Twilight are too perfect, or too stuck up.

8. HP describes how painful, soul-draining, boring, and lifeless immortality really is. In Twilight, it's worshipped and Bella throws herself at any vampire that can give it to her.

9. Harry breaks up with his girlfriend for real heroic reasons. Edward only does it because he's too dangerous. Grow some rocks, SparkleBoy.

10. Werewolves in Harry Potter are KICKASS!!! Werewolves (oops, I mean shapeshifters.) in Twilight SUCK.

11. J.K. Rowling is a talented writer. Stephenie Meyer is a sex-crazed freak.

12. Voldemort is creepy, vile, cruel, terrifying, and exciting. Aro, Caius, Marcus, and James are just idiotic.

13. The second generation in Harry Potter is cute and adorable. The second generation in Twilight is SICK AND DEMENTED.

14. Harry has a personality. Bella has a personality disorder.

15. Twilight has a lack of gingers! HARRY POTTER IS FULL OF GINGER LOVE!!!

16. And my favorite: HARRY. POTTER. DOES. NOT. SPARKLE.

How They're the Same:

1. Robert Pattinson has played a role in both movie series.

2. And... err, that's it!

I don't know. Some old codgers calling themselves critics made such a d**n fuss about it and now all book review sites are doing it. People are calling Meyer the new J.K. Rowling. In her dreams!! J.K. Rowling is kickass! She makes more than the Queen of England, for God's sake! Meyer even said this on an interview that Muggleworld.com (leading HP forum) had with her:

''I believe that Edward would win in a fight with Harry. Harry would just jut some light from his wand and Ed would snap his neck, just like that.''

Well I've only ever read Book 1, but it was still better than Twilight. Magic is better than lust FOR A FACT!
