I also agree that "Not Normal" was boring. Season six is rather lacking IMHO. At least, "Not Normal" has a use now. We can recommend it to insomniacs.

[The plots in these episodes were too strange. The strange thing is that the better episodes in the earlier seasons seemed to have simpler plots than they do now. For example, "Opposite Day" was a good episode and it had a very simple plot. 100% agree. And it's not just the plots either; it's also the humor. Suction-Cup Symphony had a simple plot, but it was absolutely awful IMHO. Suction-Cup Symphony was worst than "Not Normal". It may be the worst episode in Season 6 and perhaps one of the worst episodes since the Movie. "Krabby Road" was a lousy attempt to replicate "Band of the Geeks".

Yeah, "Suction-Cup Symphony" was one of the worst, if not the worst, Spongebob episode IMHO. There was nothing funny about it, and I actually grimaced a few times during it. And the "playing" doctor thing was used before in "Suds" (only 100 times better). And Squidward should install some sound proof insulation in his walls.
I haven't seen "Krabby Road."

In "Krabby Road" Plankton basically tries to steal the Krabby Patty by forming his own rock band. The writers need to stop writing Plankton vs. Krabs episodes until they can get better ideas.

Heh, maybe they can stimulate their creativity by using ALL their characters instead of relying on the same old scenerios. It seems like they avoid using Sandy as a main character in the episodes...
I suppose when they wrote "Pest of the West" they tried to be creative, but it was just weird not clever. It's the clever-type of creativity they need to use more often.

Yes, the only characters we see these days are SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Plankton, and Mr. Krabs.

Yeah, that's the #1 EKxSP episode. The #2 episode is probably "Best Frenemies"

Anyway, something else really bothered me about "Gone" besides the "National No Spongebob Day" and everyone taking part in it. It's that Spongebob had this mound of raw Krabby Patty meat in his closet shaped like Patrick. Did anyone else think this analogous to a love shrine like the ones Helga (Hey Arnold!) kept in her closet? I found it rather creepy to say the least. I hope it just meant he was going crazy... Why do the writers keep coming up with stuff like this? Even if it didn't mean anything, it was still pretty bizarre. They could have communicated Spongebob's insanity in a funnier way rather than a disturbing one.
