Okay, so I decided to do this for Usamerican XD I haven't wrote anything since February, so go easy on me, m'kay? I'm only 12 =P GASP! Yeah XD
Knock, Knock!
Sandy groaned loudly, and put her pillow over her ears. Who could be coming over at this hour?
SpongeBob... Sandy thought, for that was the only person that would come and visit her at any hour of the day. Even 5 in the morning... It was even worse for her, because she was up all night trying to invent something new... which didn't work out so well. It seemed as though she had invented almost everything mankind could think of, and now she was out of ideas. At least SpongeBob could make her feel better about the situation.
"I'm comin'..." Sandy muttered, not loud enough for anyone to hear. She reluctantly got out of bed, rubbing one eye, then walked over to the mirror. Her eyes were bloodshot, and her fur was sticking up in all different directions. I'm a mess...
Knock, Knock!
"I'm comin'!" Sandy said, a little louder this time. She quickly put her bikini on, and ran downstairs, out of the tree. Sandy stopped in her tracks, and tried to brush her fur down. No luck.
Oh well, it's just SpongeBob. He doesn't care about people's looks.
She put a big smile on her face, then opened her door. Her smile quickly disappeared when she found not SpongeBob, but all of her monkey bosses at the door. Sandy's whole body seemed to freeze at that moment, for she knew what they wanted.
"Hello, Ms. Cheeks!" One of them said, smiling and looking around the Treedome. The other two fought over a banana, then quickly dropped it when they realized Sandy was in front of them.
"Uh, howdy..." Sandy nervously scratched the back of her head. "OH! Yeah, um, sorry about my appearance. I just got up, so--"
Another one chuckled. "We understand. We usually don't do 'surprise inspections', this early in the morning. Sorry if we disturbed you."
Ah! I should have saw this coming! What am I gonna do?! Sandy thought, forcing a smile on her face. "It's fine, I needed something to wake me up anyway..." She glanced around at her bosses, which she realized were still at the door. "AH! I almost forgot...Come in." All her bosses walked inside, scanning the Treedome for any inventions.
Maybe I should just...
Her bosses stopped, and stared at her.
She sighed. ...Tell them I didn't plan for this?
"Is there something wrong, Ms.Cheeks? Could you lead us to some of your new inventions?" The fat one asked, as Sandy looked like she was going to keel over.
Sandy shook her head, and sat at her picnic table. "Look, I'm sorry, but I don't have anything new to show you. The reason I look like I've been ran over, is because I was up all night trying to think of things. I'm really sorry if I disappointed you."
All her bosses looked at one another. One of the smaller chimps took out a clipboard, and wrote some things down.
"Well, if you have nothing useful to show us, we have no choice but to... fire you." The one with the clipboard replied. The other two nodded, and headed toward the exit. "And now I'm questioning why you still live down here..."
Sandy shook her head yes, for she knew this was coming. She knew she would be fired sooner or later. "I understand..." she muttered, looking down at her feet. The monkeys waved a little goodbye, then left the Treedome in a hurry.
Now what, Sandy? You lost your job due to your laziness, so... now what? How are you going to live down here, without the money? Her mind fought with herself, just making the situation worse. You could have thought of something easily, but why? Why didn't you think more about this, instead of doing other pointless things with SpongeBob?
"...Because he's my friend." Sandy said aloud, to nothing. "And friends... they do things together. They don't ignore them just to impress their stupid monkey bosses."
You should just leave Bikini Bottom. You have nothing left here. The whole point of living down here was to invent things and research sea life, remember?
Sandy shook her head. "No. I could never leave. The pain I felt when my bosses almost fired me last time was too much. I can't leave my friends..." She was more referring to only SpongeBob, for Patrick and everyone else never really did anything with her. But SpongeBob had been with her thick and thin... She could never leave him.
Then you should get a new job.
"It's not that easy." She told her mind. "Jobs aren't just layin' around for people..." Sandy froze in place, for an idea just popped into her scientific head. "...Or are they?"

Sandy knocked on SpongeBob's door a few hours later. After some thinking, she decided what job she could try out. Just for a little while, until she could find a better paying job.
"Hiya Sandy!" SpongeBob cheerfully replied, opening the door.
"Howdy SpongeBob..."
SpongeBob tilted his head. "Something wrong?" Sandy nodded, looking down at the sand.
"I kinda got fired from my job today..."
SpongeBob gasped. "What?! Those monkey... things... C'mon, lets go teach them a--"
"SpongeBob, you can't just go beat them up until they give me my job back! It's not that easy! Besides, you couldn't do it alone..." Sandy said, grabbing him by the shoulder, just in case he was going to make a run for it.
SpongeBob sighed, and sat on the ground. "So, what are you going to do?"
You can ask him. Besides, it's JUST SpongeBob.
"Um, yeah... about that... I kinda came here to ask: could you get me a job at the Krusty Krab?" Sandy asked, very quickly like she had to be somewhere.
There was silence for a few moments, until SpongeBob smiled, and said, "Of course I could! Well, if Mr.Krabs doesn't mind... Sure! Anything for a friend like you, Sandy."
Sandy found herself smiling really big. "Thanks, SpongeBob!" She gave him a quick hug, then started to head back to her house. "I'll repay you somehow, I promise!"
Slowly, and with a small smile on his face, SpongeBob waved at her. "Bye, Sandy..."
Yes!
