Anyhoo, I found another similarity between me and Sandy: we're both SCUBA divers! That's right, after this weekend, I shall be a certified SCUBA diver!!! I'm going turtle-hunting at Mammoth Lake for my certification dive... So, I'm curious: how many of you Spandy-folk are certified SCUBA folk, as well?

It would be cool to go scuba diving, but I haven't even been in pool in a very long time

I've been snorkeling... There are huge fish in Mexico And then we had to ride a little speed boat thing to get to the snorkeling area...

Ohmigosh, I had my first three cerification dives today!!! The lake was really icky, though; we could only see, like, five feet in front of us. And there was algae and crud floating around...yuck...
First dive, a little perch came out to see what me and my dive buddy were up to. Then, while I was practicing my hovering skills, he bit me on the leg! And he kept trying to eat my hair. He was kinda annoying, but he was sooooo darn CUTE! I couldn't stay mad at him.
Second dive, I was having trouble with ear squeeze (which is when water pressure outside is greater than the air pressure in your ears; it hurts), my perch buddy swam up to me as though he were seeing if I were okay. Then he bit my dive buddy and swam away. This dive was really creepy, cuz there were eleven of us (but we could only see two other people; it was THAT murky), so we had to sit around waiting for our turn to do skills. I kept looking around, cuz I could see all these shapes in the water...0_0...
Third dive, we explored a C-130 airplane that was in the lake (placed there; not crashed!). We were going to go inside, but it was pitch dark and we couldn't see a thing. Instead, we swam from the tail to the nose and ascended. And I got sunburned.
Needless to say, my favorite part of the dive was the perch, even though he bit me twice...

Strangely enough, although it doesn't sound like too much fun, it was...XD Today was sooooo BORING (but I am now officially certified)! Me and my dive buddy buddy were sitting on the bench, humming and lying down and jumping up and annoying the fish and playing with our air bubbles...after awhile the teacher handed us an Etch-N-Sketch to keep us still and quiet. We played Tic-Tac-Toe and Hangman twenty feet underwater whilst Perchie (the fish from yesterday) stared at us.
