What older men think of Spongebob...

I was sitting at the park this afternoon with my friend and there were these men sitting at a picnic table behind us, talking about shows their kids liked to watch. I heard "Spongebob" and my ears of course had to tune in.

They didn't say too much other than that they didn't want to go home and watch it with their kids...and one said, "Patrick is Spongebob's stupid starfish friend. He's like 'Hey Spongebob!'"
They laughed about something and I heard the other guy say, "Spongebob is like the gay symbol of America."

I, of course, was angered and was happy to see them leave soon. I told my friend I was mad...but she doesn't care about Spongebob...(what a shame!)..

I'm tired of his image being "the gay symbol of America."
He wasn't intended to be.

I know...curse them! *angry frown!* I mean, even my dad liked SpongeBob (in small dosages)...then the movie came out, and my whole family went, "Ick."

So do I XD Well, except for my dad, who thinks it's weird... (He still likes SpongeBob, though) And I know about the gay thing -_- I was on the bus last year and this little boy about 5 or 6 had a SpongeBob umbrella. An 8th grader started bugging him, and then somewhere in there he shouted, "SpongeBob's is so gay!" Of course, I felt like killing that guy, but all I could do was sit there and stare at the floor.

I juts had a thought...what if older men call SpongeBob gay because they're jealous? I mean, SpongeBob is ten times the man over some 8th grader who would make fun of a five-year-old!

lol. I thought it was adorable..but manly when he says, "Foul Beast, do your worst."

I was also watching "the secret box"...and do any of you know which season it's from? I think that that was when the animation and the writing was at its best...


Any way...Spongebob isn't gayy and is a manly man with a sensitive side!!! huzzahh!...

so right!!! Just because spongebob has a close friend that happens to be a boy, poeple shouldn't be all "he's so gay!!!!" I myself am very close to all my friends, and yes, most of them are girls! But I'm deffinitly not lezbian, or bisexual! Sure I haven't had a boyfriend but still!
