Howsimplylovely is right about the power situation. Centerpoint Energy said that the average wait time for power to be restored to residential customers is 2 to 4 weeks in the Houston area. Also city officials are telling people to boil their water. Watch out for soaring gas prices. There is a growing shortage of gasoline throughout the U.S. because many of the refineries are shutdown due to Gustav and Ike.
I wish it would rain where I lived... I am also sick of my homework. I just spent three days starring at a hw assignment trying to figure out what type of calculations I need to make and it still doesn't make sense!

God, I wish it all weren't true...they're letting people back into Freeport (although there's no power), and I'm ready to go there...I just can't handle it anymore...it ain't fun anymore! Oh, what I would give to be sitting in one of my college classes, fighting off slumber and trying to pay attention. Anything's better than this gol-danged BOREDOM!!!
And, I love kids....but my cousin's starting to get on my nerves. She's always staring at me, wanting to be around me...I need personal space, darlin'!
But, I got new shoes, new nail polish, a new purse, and my first-ever bikini yesterday, so I guess I'm content. Maybe I can convince my mom to take me to the Snake Farm...*ponders this*...

I'M-A GOING HOME TOMORROW!!! w00t!!!!
Of course, there may not be a whole lot of power yet...but still, I get to go home. Thank God!
And today I'm off to Zilker Park, where I will be checking out their wildife/nature buildings and swimming in Barton Springs (even though the water is 68 degrees...brr...).

That’s very good news! I hope you find no damage... I also hope you get your power back soon. Imagine missing WBWP because of a hurricane… Did you hear that Galveston may be uninhabitable for several months because of the damage and the disease?
