He still has input on every new episode. He just doesn't write them anymore. However, I bet we would see more episodes with Sandy if he were still writing episodes. Sandy was SpongeBob's original best friend.

Some people are saying SpongeBobxSquidward after "20,000 Patties Underneath the Sea" and "The Two Faces of Squidward" aired. I could not sleep the night after those two episodes were aired because I was so angry at the writers for creating those two abominations.
