I used to be in LOVE with Sonic the Hedgehog. Every word that came out of my mouth had something to do with Sonic. Now, I just really can't stand it anymore. First off, it doesn't really make too much sense.

A talking blue hedgehog that can run at the speed of sound and defeats a fat man who looks like an egg and ends up collecting golden rings that fall out of nowhere.
Now does that sound logical to you?
BUT IN SOME CASES.

There are characters I admire/like:
Blaze the Cat
Rouge the Bat
Mina Mongoose
Julie Sue the Echidna
Mostly because these characters are undermined and stereotyped and need more appreciation. Plus, neither of them are annoying, and numerous stupid clubs on dA have been formed against them just because of who they are.

It's pretty much plotless.
Sonic Unleashed: Great game, but Sonic is fighting Eggman for no reason, then Eggman captures Sonic and shoots him with a ray that turns him into a werewolf, and then Eggman blasts the Were-Sonic into the vaccuum of space.
Shadow the Hedgehog: Shadow's backstory was a little iffy. He was a black and red hedgehog created fifty years as the ultimate life form on a ship called the ARK and was cared for by a young girl named Maria since he was born. The ARK went a little crazy after being taken over by a shady orginization called G.U.N., so Shadow and Maria are running from them. Maria tells Shadow he has to help the Earth, shoots him off in an escape pod, and then is shot by a G.U.N. Agent.
...And many more.

The fans are annoying. I should know, I used to be one.
If a game doesn't exactly appeal to their liking, they whine, and whine, and WHINE. They recolor over screenshots from games or the anime (Sonic X) and turn them into their ''original characters''. They also pair up their OCs with the characters from the series, mostly Shadow because he's logically ''mysterious, smart, and tough'' or in a Shadow fangirl's opinion, ''SOOPER HAWT AND SEXEH.'' And 50% are Mary Sues.

Sonic is a Gary Stu. (male term for Mary Sue)
Sonic is always referred to as ''the Knight of the Wind.'' His eight year old fox friend, Tails, idolizes him. He has a stalker (Amy Rose) and many of the humans in the series are his fangirly loyal following. The worst thing is that every girl in the series is in love with him, or has been mentioned as a possible love interest. (Ex: Amy Rose, Sally Acorn, Mina Mongoose) He most always ends up getting his way, and is extremely annoying, and at times, full of himself.
