Ms. Cole (BEST TEACHER EVER. We watched the SBSP Movie in class!) assigned us to do poems on people in history who inspire us, and lucky me that one of the choices was KERMIT. There's an article about him in our textbooks. Here's my poem:
The Little Green Hand
I play the piano With twisted unrelenting fingers As the long black pole on his hands Controls his unnerving movements of life
I look to the green thing Dancing on the piano A little round tummy Like a bowling ball
He dances He sings a song of life A silly grin Across his face
The magic beneath him Makes him move To the music I appear to play As my fingers spread To the open sky of the piano
After he is shut In the little black box Black poles under the man's arm A little green hand Sticks out from the side
As if to tell me ''Goodbye.''

Love it M!
If only my school projects were that cool, the best one I've got this year is a project on Italian culture, I'm doing fashion which means I get to draw lots of pics!
