Chapter 1: Just a crush, right?[/b]
"Why is it so hard to find a good guy these days?" "Not a single person under the sea, who would ever want to rule the sea with me?" Mindy swam around the castle. "It seems like, I have no friends at all,really."
"Well what about those other sea creatures you meet, at that restaurant?" A small voice spoke out. She jumped. She turned around to see who it was. She saw a small fish in royal clothing with a small trumpet.
"Oh, hello Squire." "You scared me." "But no, I don't think any of them would be interested in a mermaid like me." "I mean, that Spongebob guy seems nice, sweet, and kind of cute...”.
"He also seemed to care a lot about Bikini Bottom. He also saved the kingdom and my farther." "I never got the chance to thank him for it." She hung her head in shame.
"I'm sure he knows what he did was a good thing, Mindy." "I'm sure he knows you're grateful." He said in a comforting tone.
"I know, but it still feels like I need to thank him in some kind of way." She paused. "You know what?" "I'm going to pay him a little visit!" She said with a cheerful smile.
"You're on you're own." "I don't want to get involved in this." Squire shook his head. "I don't want to get thrown in the dungeon, again..." He twitched.
~A Few Hours Later...~
Spongebob was cheerfully walking to work. "I'M READY!" "I'M READY!" "I'M READY!" "I'M READY, TO GO TO WORK!" He sang. "Well, Hello there Spongebob!" He heard a cheerful voice. It made him jump.
"AHHH!" He then took a deep breath, and turned around. "Oh Hey, Mindy!" "You scared the living day lights out of me!" He chuckled.
"I saw that." She giggled. There was silence. "Soo... is there something I could help you with, Mindy?" Spongebob said breaking the silence.
"Oh, it's nothing really...” "I just wanted to thank you, for what you did for me, the town, and my dad...” She smiled. "Oh, it was nothing really, Mindy." "It just felt like something I had to do." He smiled.
"I just want to thank you, somehow..." She looked down at the ground, then back at Spongebob. "Boy, he really is cute...” "Just look at those big blue eyes..".” She thought.
"Seriously, it was nothing Mindy." "It was something any good guy would do." "He's so adorable, I wonder if he's dating anybody..." She continued to think.
"Mindy?" "Are you there?" "Helllooo?" Spongebob tried to knock her out of her state of thought. "Huh?" "Oh, sorry Spongebob...” She blushed.
"Thinking hard, Mindy?" He laughed quietly. "Oh, yeah.." "I guess you could say that...” "Say, just out of curiosity...” "You wouldn't happen to be dating anybody would you?" She said quietly.
"Oh, no I'm not seeing anybody...Technically...” He laughed nervously. "Why?" "Have you heard something?" He started to sweat; he thought she was referring to him and Sandy.
"Oooooh, it's nothing...” "I was just...Thinking. Maybe...we could..." She started to stutter. "Maybe we could date?" "Is that what you're asking?" He said as he raised an eyebrow.
"Maybe..." She blushed deeply and turned away. "Unless, you don't want to...” "Which is perfectly fine...” She said as she rubbed her shoulder with her hand.
"I really like you…and... you seem like a good guy...” Mindy said still looking at the floor. Spongebob just kept quite. "Gee, I don't know Mindy...” "What would you're father think?" He said looking at her with concern.
"Well. Maybe you could just think about it?" Mindy looked deep into his eyes again. She bowed her head down. She wrapped her right arm around his body. She kissed him deeply on the lips. A blush spread deeply onto her face.
Spongebob couldn't help but blush very strangely. The kiss had finally ended. Mindy just smiled and blushed brightly.
"So will you think about it?"
"Yeah, sure. Mindy...” He stared blankly at her. Mindy just laughed, then swam away.
"That was my...first…kiss..." "And it was with, Mindyyy...” He thought.
"YOU BROKE MY HEART!" "I LIKED HER FIRST; I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND!" He heard a voice scream. Spongebob quickly turned around. Only to see Patrick, with His eyes blood shoot and filled with tears. He eventually ran away with tears falling down his cheeks.
"Patrick?" "I'm sorry!" "That kiss didn't mean anything!" "Come back!" He chased after him. "I DIDN'T KNOW!" "SHE KISSED ME!"He eventually ran out of breath. He couldn't run after Patrick anymore so he just ignored him, and continued to walk to work.
~Meanwhile~
"HE...KISSSED..."Patrick just sobbed and sobbed on Sandy's picnic table in Sandy's Treedome. "Who kissed who now?" Sandy said as she filled some sort of pink liquid into a small test tube.
"HE DID..MY BEST...FRIENDDD!!!"He sobbed more. "Spongebob?" "He kissed someone?!" She said she dropped the test tube in shock.
"HE KISSED...MINDY..."He said as he slammed his fists on the picnic table. "Mindy, you say?" "Interesting...” "I'm just going to pay, this Mindy person a visit...” She said as she quickly put on her suit and helmet. She slammed the door shut behind her.
