Yeah, yeah, I know we've all been complainin' about it for the past Lord-knows-how-long-- Why would Nick pair them together? It's pedophilia! Then again, what do the writer's care anymore? The new episodes started sucking long ago. They're just tryin' to make it more interesting. And what a better way to do that than to introduce romance after a decade?
Okay, okay. Truth be told, I don't know much about the new episodes, since I stopped following them a while ago. All I can really say is this-- WHY, NICK? WHY?! I mean, I know y'all hate Sandy now, but ever consider the age differences or ANYTHING between Spongy and Pearl?
Just... Sayin'. Sorry, I'm a little aggravated right now ^^;

I hate these new writers... SpongeBob and Pearl went to Pearl's prom... hooray... SpongeBob got her gifts for her birthday... alright... SpongeBob and Pearl going through the Tunnel of Love? WHAT THE HELL, NICK?! SpongeBob and Sandy have much more chemistry. Pearl is just a minor character, and Sandy USED to be a major one. Why give justice to the female character everyone thinks is an annoying brat instead of the tough girl everyone likes?

you guys are only talking about tunnel of glove, right? :/
idk i thought the episode was funny & i didn't see anything ~romantic between them at all tbh! the idea of them together makes me gag though, spongebob is way too old for her & their personalities don't mesh well romantically at all. ew.

i don't think they'd be stupid enough to make it canon, it would ruin the show foreverrrr. it wouldn't be spongebob anymore! they should know better, or at least i hope they do.
plus, if they were intending to make sbxpearl canon, why do the sbxsandy shiptease wedding in truth or square? tunnel of glove wasn't even a shiptease episode, srsly.
then again, it really pisses me off that we have so many useless new episodes that are not funny or meaningful at all, but no sandy episodes. i hate it.

How old is Pearl exactly? Like, 16?
If so, depending on the age of consent in Bikini Bottom, technically it would be legal pedophilia.
