Will I ever get into a college? My cousin is 15 and I am 16. She's been a baby sitter before. I've never had a job? She has a boyfriend. I myself just find relationships as a waste of time. I focus on my school work. Some people call me lazy and maybe I am but I know when to try my best. We are both in 10th grade. She takes 5 classes. She does sports and takes honors classes. Me... I'm just a band geek. I have good grades. A's and B's. I've taken Theater and I'm currently taking Spanish. Next year I plan on taking French and another Theater class and of course band along with all the other regular classes. She works hard and her hard work has paid off. She's already gotten 4 letters from different colleges. She deserves it but I didn't expect for her to get these letters this soon. She's worked for it. I'm not her, I don't think I can take these honors classes. They're so much harder than the regular classes. I guess in a way I envy her. I know envy is a bad thing but she's younger than me and she's already getting college letters. I am an artistic person. I love music, theater and things like that but it doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. Usually people get college letters when they are Seniors. I have to wonder... Will there be any college letters coming to me in the near future, or will I get stuck at Burger King. Will I even get that lucky? I know I don't want to live with my mom all of my life but I'm always wondering about my future with things like college and how to get a job I want.

Wow, I just learned something new about you: You like the arts. I'm a theatre junkie myself. ^^
I'm sure you'll get into college! It's nothing to really stress about (I understand the sibling envy, trust me). If you just work a little harder (oh God, I swear I'm not trying to critique you right now) you'll be able to do anything.
I'm not sure if that helped any... -_-'

Thanks. I guess I could work a little harder. Maybe I could try taking honors classes next year. I'm just afraid that I'll fail. I really don't want to take my classes all over.

I wish I could help, but I don't know much about American schooling. You'll probably get those sort of letters soon. Just keep hopeful, it's not as if you're getting F's, is it? So you'll probably get some offers, if I was running a university, I'd accept you.

My sister's two years older and she gets letters like this ALL THE TIME. So I know how you feel. But in my opinion, the only solution to the problem is to push it to the limit. And by that I mean try harder than ever, but don't work yourself to death. If that doesn't work, then I'm sure you'll get those letters in senior year. Maybe she just got them early because of a sports related reason? I dunno. But keep on truckin'!
