Kk, I've been thinking-- should we advertise on youtube?? I mean, the only reason I haven't done it yet is because I'm afraid of evil comments  Yes, I am very scared of comments. I get enough evil ones for my avatar forum... So-- anyone willing to do it besides me? (Looks at Pixie, Keely, and Meg weirdly) |

You have to have something people want to watch before you can have an effective advertisement on Youtube. It's like TV. No one is going to watch a commercial on a television channel if the channel does not have a show that people want to watch.

Here is a quicklist of possible places to advertise deviantart, (create art or a journal entry and mention the site) fanfiction.net (write a story and mention the site) maybe Youtube, but you gotta to have something that people would want to watch Affiliate with other forums (Raise $3 million and buy a Super Bowl ad  ) |

Here are some other advertising "suggestions": e-mail random people and businesses: this might be considered SPAM and you might end up in jail. mention the website to everyone you speak to: the problem with this is that some adults might think your insane because you're a member of this forum (dress up in a chicken suit, hold up a sign that mentions the site, and dance in the middle of your nearest four way intersection Sure you might infuriate drivers and cause several traffic accidents, but many people would become aware of the name of the site  ) I also wish I had $3 million. |

Here are some more practical suggestions You could create a webpage on myspace, facebook, or some other social networking website and mention the name of the site on the newly created webpage. You could personally invite everyone in the SpongeBobxSandy club on Youtube to join this forum by sending a private message to each person in the club. You could raise $100,000 and rent a billboard. Every car that passes by would see the name of the site. (You could run around naked at some major sporting event while holding up a giant sign that mentions the website. Although you would probably be arrested for exposing yourself, 20000 people would see the sign and some people would be able to look at sign again after the police haul you off to jail since they would have taken pictures! ) |

Here are a few more suggestions. You could get a tattoo that mentions the forum on your arm and wear sleeveless shirts everyday. The problem with that is that you will never be able to get the tattoo off your arm. You could get a can of spray paint and write the name of the forum on some buildings. The problem with that is that this would be considered vandalism and you would probably get a huge fine if you're caught. (Become famous and promote the site as your special cause. Anybody will listen to a celebrity no matter how stupid their message is  ). |

More suggestions...
You can post signs all over your school/workplace that promote the site.
If you are in school you can write down the name of the club next to your name on every assignment you turn in. You may get more people to join the site, but they might be your teachers.
Go to a major shopping area parking lot and place fliers that promote the club on each car windshield. Although many people may become aware of the club, you risk the chance of getting arrested for solicitation... You also run the risk of being accused of stealing a car since you'll probably trigger a bunch of car alarms.
(Do something that Mr. Krabs did... Advertise on TV at 3:28AM! The best part about this idea is that it won't cost much to buy a television ad during this special timeslot. The problem is that you would need to make the commercial and the only people who would probably watch the commercial are insomniacs and people like SpongeBob)
